PC Building Simulator 2 | Update v1.00.14

Hello PC Builders!

Following on from an exciting launch last week we’ve been working around the clock to keep up the momentum, issuing hotfixes over the last few days. Today we’re pushing an update live, bringing us to patch v1.00.14. In this version we’ve addressed a number of priority issues listed below, additionally today’s patch notes include a collated list of last week’s hotfixes in a separate section. Special thanks to the community for contributions to bug reporting and evidence gathering.


Bug Fixes

Hotfixes (13-14 October)

  • Fixed an issue which prevented players from opening the tablet in the first Thermal App onboarding job.

  • Fixed an issue which caused some players to become soft locked when custom water cooling CPUs in other languages than English.

  • The tablet will now automatically close apps when stowed if an app is stopping it from being stowed during the onboarding process.

  • Fixed an issue with 3DMark being unable to finish if a codec playback error is encountered during 3DMark video playback.

  • Fixed multiple load/save issues when unlocking the shop and ending the day.

  • Fixed an issue which prevented achievements from unlocking correctly after an hour of play.

  • Renamed “Foxtrot” to “PC Building Simulator 2” on the Epic Games Store overlay.

  • Fixed PCs growing larger when picked up from a bench and resulting connected issues.

  • Fix multiple data issues.

  • Fixed various localisation issues.

General

  • Fixed an issue with the award rosette/ribbon in the Shop Sales app.

  • Corrected a trigger which could incorrectly result in players being asked to complete the RAM basics tutorial when changing a PSU in some cases.

  • Fixed a potential softlock in the watercooling tutorial which asked players to fill the loop with coolant prior to finishing connecting the loop.

  • Fixed a potential softlock in the watercooling tutorial which asked players to drain the loop of coolant despite the loop already being drained and disconnected.

  • Improved the trigger and step advancement in the water cooling tutorial for steps related to connecting pipes.

  • Corrected a mistake in the Will It Run app 'The Loneliest Sharpshooter'.

  • The tutorial for watercooling memory will now correctly ask players to connect memory blocks to the resultant watercooling loop.

  • Fixed additional issues which lead to soft locks during the GPU water cooling tutorial.

  • Fixed an issue which caused player position to be adjusted in some rare instances when using the decorator app.

  • Prevented a number of issues which could soft lock players if they did not follow prompted directions during the store unlocking process.

  • Use of the tablet around the tablet introduction stage is now more intuitive.

  • Fixed an error in the details of the level 6 unlock email.

  • Fixed an issue which led to misalignment of the "Add to basket..." prompt when scrolling during the shop tutorial.

Jobs

  • Fixed an issue which lead to the "More heat" multi-GPU job from "Bakerboyjoe" spawning with a power supply rated too low to power the system.

Parts

  • MSI BIOS will now correctly display options to increase settings on parts such as CPU frequency and multiplier.

  • Fixed an issue which prevented players from connecting a keyboard and mouse to the computer when using a GIGABYTE Z590I Vision D motherboard.

  • Fixed an issue which prevented players from connecting a monitor to the computer when using a GIGABYTE Z590I Vision D motherboard.

  • Corrected a mistake in the text which indicated an incorrect number of CPU cores in the Ryzen 5900X processor.

  • Corrected a spelling mistake on the Alphacool Eisblock Plexi Light GFRTX 2080/2080Ti M02.

  • The NZXT N7 z690 motherboard supported memory speed has been adjusted to match its real life counterpart.

  • The ASUS ROG MAXIMUS z690 APEX motherboard’s supported memory speed has been adjusted to match its real life counterpart.

  • Added SLI bridge support for the Palit GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GameRock (OC) graphics card.

  • Fixed a number of cable clipping issues with the HYTE REVOLT 3 case.

  • Fixed an issue which prevented the display of the SteelSeries Qck Large Neo Noir edition mouse mat in the player inventory.

  • Side panels on the Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P (Sakura) will now spawn in the correct size.

  • Adjusted the power requirements for 5700 and 5700 XT cards.

  • The GIGABYTE z590 AORUS MASTER (rev. 1.0) motherboard supported memory speed has been adjusted to match it's real life counterpart

  • The GIGABYTE z590 AORUS MASTER (rev. 1.0) motherboard no longer incorrectly supports SLI.

  • The MSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 motherboard supported memory speed has been adjusted to match its real life counterpart.

  • The NZXT N5 z690 motherboard supported memory speed has been adjusted to match its real life counterpart.

  • Corrected the default installation orientation of the Raijintek Calore radiator when using a Raijintek Paean case.

  • GPUs in the AMD Radeon 6000 series family can now have their settings adjusted correctly through GPU tuner e.g. for the purpose of overclocking.

  • The MSI MPG Z690 CARBON WIFI motherboard no longer incorrectly supports SLI.

  • The MSI MPG Z690 CARBON WIFI motherboard’s supported memory speed has been adjusted to match its real life counterpart.

  • The MSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 motherboard no longer incorrectly lists RGB capabilities.

  • Fixed a mistake in text on the IHS of the Ryzen 5 2600.

  • Fixed an issue which prevented NZXT Aer case fans from unlocking as expected.

  • Players can now paint the top of the SilverStone PM01-RGB case as intended.

  • The USB ports on the top of the Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P (Sakura) will now allow insertion of USB devices as intended.

Localisation

  • Improved the clarity of a number of translations related to job objectives in Japanese.

  • Adjusted the positioning and size of Polish text to prevent overlapping with several icons throughout the game.

  • Text related to email notification headers will now correctly be localised when playing with FR/DE/ES/PTBR/PL/RU/KO/JP/CN language settings.

  • Text related to selling through the store following the store unlocking trigger will now correctly be localised when playing with FR/DE/ES/PTBR/PL/RU/KO/JP/CN language settings.

  • Text in the fourth tab of the options menu will now correctly be localised when playing with FR/DE/ES/PTBR/PL/RU/KO/JP/CN language settings.

  • Adjusted the alignment of all non-English localisations on items with multiple lines of text displayed in menu options.

  • Text related to interactions with the PC Storage Cupboard will now correctly be localised when playing with FR/DE/ES/PTBR/PL/RU/KO/JP/CN language settings.

  • Fixed an issue which caused text to overrun in the Omega OS cloning installation menu when game language is set to a non English language.

  • Text related to job links when picking up an order will now correctly be localised when playing with FR/DE/ES/PTBR/PL/RU/KO/JP/CN language settings.

  • Fixed an issue which caused text to overrun in the customer satisfaction screen when game language is set to a non English language.

  • Fixed an issue which caused text to overrun in the customer satisfaction title when game language is set to a non English language.
