PC Building Simulator Update v1.2 – Swapping peripherals, a remade workshop and a whole lot more is live now!

Hello PC Builders,

The team has been busy making a lot of changes to PC Building Simulator in order to be able to add the ability to swap peripherals such as keyboards and mice along with improving other various bits and pieces (some more visible than others) to make the game a bit more polished.

Lot’s to get through, so let’s get right to the update!

Build v1.2 Highlights

Swapping Peripherals

Support for swapping peripherals is now live! In this update, we are kicking off with a wide range of Razer products which you can use to further customise your workbenches with. The items you can swap are:

  • Keyboards
  • Mice
  • Mouse Mats
  • Headsets

Please Note: Large (extended) mouse mats and headsets are currently only available to swap on your main office desk.
With this support now complete, we will add new peripherals in future updates.

Workshop Makeover

In order to enable the ability to swap more items on workbenches we had to make some major changes to the current environment we all know and love(??). So we decided this was a good opportunity to rebuild it to support these kinds of changes properly. The overall layout and design have been kept but various cosmetic and functional improvements have been made. For example, there is now an extra light switch near the door!

Brand New Razer Workshop DLC

In addition to the remade workshop, we have collaborated with Razer to create a brand-new workshop themed around all things Razer. This new space brings a fresh, open layout for you to run your PC business in and once purchased you will be able to switch between either workshop as much as you like in either Career or Free Build modes.

Extra Cases for the Overclocked Edition

Owners of our existing Overclocked Edition DLC will now have access to two new case designs using new artwork designed by Brock Hofer:

NZXT H500 – Split

NZXT H700i – Organ Collector

Free DLC Cases

To celebrate the upcoming launch of two games being published by The Irregular Corporation we have created and release two new cases as Free DLC:

H700i – Deadstick

  1. I love this game, being a PC Builder myself, I have spent endless hours on this game, it would be fantastic to see the CiT G-Force cases on here and some ASRock motherboards too adding to more variety in the game, keep up the great work!

  2. I love the new peripheral swapping. Still waiting on more oem rtx cards! I’m sure you know of this by now, but the custom water cooling system is very glitchy now. It glitches when bending a corner, when I’m filling the loop, the reservoir and blocks are still empty. However, I’m looking forward to doing a dual loop build in the new super tower case once this is fixed!

  3. Ulfangz

Really love this game!!!! It has taught me sooo much about pc building. I had laid my eyes on the Corsair spec Omega case on which i got to practice alot on in v1.1, but now I came across the new Asus Rog case…Helios. Would love to see more Asus products such as their new case, an Asus Rog Strix Rtx 2080ti, Asus Thor PSU, their new aio liquid coolers, and the Asus Rog Maximus XI motherboards

This may be hard to implement or not but i’d like to see if its possible to just have radiators with different thickness (25mm , 40mm , 60mm and the like) then mount any case fans on them in either push or pull configuration. Also add the possibility to add custom cable management the same way the custom liquid loop is implemented. Either i like this game a lot and i enjoy the progress you guys make.

  5. Phanteks Evolv X series cases. Corsair Flash Voyager GTX USB 3.1. I have bought the Razer DLC. If you could you texture the mid tower size a Razor themed texture for the Evolv X Please. I am saving to buy a Gaming pc; that’s the case I’m getting.
I have played the game, and have got to the second month and still don’t understand it. Could you please rework it and add a dummy and advance feature. I’m not convinced that the GMark sore it is accurate to real life. I shop on PC Case gear; PC Case gear has pre built systems maybe you can reach out and do a promotional deal were if you buy a version of there pre built systems right now get a product key for the Amazing PC Simulator now updated so you can see in game how much it would on PC Case gear.
